The Prestige- Video Commentary

Thursday, November 4th, 2010

For my video commentary, I did The Prestige, starring Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale. Its pretty much the only DVD we have in our apartment, so we watch it all the time. However, i find this movie to be incredibly symbolic and really thematically tied together, so I tried to stitch all of the parts together in my commentary. Much like the movie, I’d recommend watching it twice so you pick up on everything I try and show in my video.

This is the best mashup I have ever seen, probably because I love both Disney princesses and Mean Girls, so when I found this mashup, I was amazed and in love. haha!

EDIT: I am not sure why this post got messed up, but I have fixed it now.

Patch Adams Video Commentary

Sunday, October 31st, 2010

I began my video project on my PC…which ended up as an epic FAIL. For some reason, my PC wouldn’t allow to run the MPEGstreamclip software. Instead I ended up using our Mac home computer and found this to be much more successful! After dealing with the minor issues and the length of time it takes to work with the video, I really like video! For some reason it wouldn’t let me add the video directly to my page so I added it via the link.

The Mighty Ducks Video Commentary

In 1992, Walt Disney Pictures released The Mighty Ducks, the first film in a trilogy that my sister, cousin and I spent many hours of our childhood watching. 18 years later, the film is my response to Assignment 8.

Originally, I used VLC and Handbrake for this assignment. However, after transferring my clips into iMovie, the shots shook so badly the material was unusable. The audio didn’t match up, either. With help from Jim Groom and Lindsay’s Video Tips, I redid the assignment using Mac The Ripper and MPEG Streamclip.

Mashup of The Notebook (sorry boys…)

Thursday, October 28th, 2010

Yes I actually do love this movie, and I know it is cheesy but I love watching it and I loved commenting on all of my favorite clips and sharing my feelings on them, so I hope you enjoy it and don’t think I am too ridiculous.  Also for the record, I am not a mushy gushy person in real life, there is just something about this movie that gets to me.
