If Water Could Talk…

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

So I’m sitting in class today and out of nowhere my friend told me about this random experiment online where people tested the influence of language on nature, specifically water. BAM. I had my image story. Basically they took pictures of water droplets and noted the differences when they spoke politely or lovingly versus when they used harsh or vulgar language.

ANYWAY! I know it already sounds crazy, but check it out!

(And yeah, this is my image story!)

You can either check out the photos below or visit the website!

In order:

With prayer; Exposed to Classical music; Water from Lourdes, France; Exposed to Folk music; Exposed to Heavy Metal;   With the words, “You make me sick. I will kill you.”; With the word “Love”;Without any prayer; Polluted Water .

At first this image story doesn’t sound like much of anthing, except for some wacky photographer’s excuse to speak to water. However, at the end of the article the author makes a really interesting point. She notes that the human body is made up of 72% water…creepy right? So how we speak to ourselves and to each other might ACTUALLY make a difference. Crazzzzyyyy…!
